The Antumbral Vault is open for general RP, while open or closed.

The Antumbral Vault is exactly what it seems: a barely hidden bar with a prominent stage; a fight club for those who wish to follow scholarly rules. That said, for those that look a little deeper- or who wish to talk business- it quickly becomes obvious that it's hiding more than meets the eye.Despite its charming front as the vanity project of a pair of dilettante scholars, the Vault is also the central hub of an expansive smuggling network.Above ground, the Vault is a simple library and clinic open mainly to adventurers. Underneath, a sprawling- er. A simple bar.Should you wish to talk business - or just have a fight on the stage - the doors are open, drinks flow freely, and the bartender always has an open ear.


ooc Roleplay rules


  • Mature themes such as drug use and violence are welcome in the Vault. ERP and NSFW gposing are not permitted in the bar; keep it out of say.

  • OOC bigotry is not tolerated here <3

  • Respect the lore. We open our doors to all who wish to attend, but ask that characters represented might show up to a bar in Ishguard to fight or support their friends.

  • If you'd like to use the back rooms, let a staff member know, and again- keep it SFW in /say. Rooms aren't monitored, but people live here.

  • Cleaning fees may be mailed to Koh'a concerning the backrooms without further scrutiny.

  • Breaking OOC rules will get you banned, but breaking IC rules will see your character temporarily banned and/or ejected from the establishment.

combat rules


We're using the standard grindstone fighting ruleset , with a twist:

Before you fight, you will need to call out your selected "class" of combat. Should you be caught punching above that class, the bartender will break up your fight, and the offending character will be ejected (and temporarily banned) from the establishment.


The divisions of combat are
Hand, Mist, and Magic.

Hand: Purely physical. No job stones, no alchemical enhancements.Mist: Job stone, alchemical enhancements, buffs, and weapons are allowed. No offensive magic, no debuffs.Magic: No holds barred, anything goes- so long as you don't break the furniture.


bar rules (in-character)


  • Keep to your chosen weight class. Should the referee catch you cheating, you'll be expelled from the bar for the night.

  • The Vault is a speakeasy- we have our liquor liscense, but we don't wish to see the guard darken our door. Speak softly, lawman.

  • Keep your attitude in check. While tempers are wont to flare in combat, we're all here for a good time; don't make a staff member pull their weapon.

  • No one wants to see your genitals. We don't want to clean the furniture. If we catch you getting hot and heavy, we will break out the broom.

Patrons are welcome to explore interpersonal conflict in the venue, so long as everyone involved is agreeable OOC. However, you should expect some interaction with staff during intense scenes.If you come into conflict with the bartender, or would like us to adjust our part of a scene, feel free to /tell or use ((OOC marks)).
